Top 5 Runs

Here are my top five run to go down at Schweitzer Mountain. If you are there on a day I am and run stick to these five runs I guarentee two things.

Number 1: Your going to have an amazing day snowboarding

Number 2: You will at some point see me.

So without further ado here they are, in no particular order:

Bud’s Chute – Black Diamond difficulty located right to the left of the Lakeview triple chair lift. Usually some great powder can be found throughout the trees on the upper part of the run. Also if you have the ability you can drop right down into the terrain park and get your Shaun White on.The on bad thing about this run is it takes 2 chairlifts to get to the top of the mountain.

Kaniksu Upper & Lower -  Located right to the right of the Snow Ghost double chair lift. It is a very long and steep run that is groomed and if you hit it early enough in the morning you can carve your own line and really get some speed. The upper part is a lot more fun than the lower part, but hey you have to get back to the chairlift somehow.

Glade-iater – This is one of my favorites at any point in the day. It is for more advanced riders and has a black diamond difficultly level. It is located to the right of the Stella express chairlift and is a very steep run with a lot trees. If you like tree runs this is the one for you. It is very long and if you get tired by the bottom of the run, you come out of the trees right next to their food shack on the backside of the mountain.

Study hall – Take the Idyle our T-bar lift to the very top of the mountain take a minute to enjoy the view and then right to your right is study hall. It is the most fun I’ve ever had in study hall. It is a groomed run for experts only but there are trees all along both sides if you want to cut off and get in on all the fresh powder they have to offer.

Wayne’s Woods – Located right before the Idyle our T-bar lift it is another tree run (you can tell what runs I like the most) and is amazing. It takes you into the same bowl as study hall but it is not groomed and there are a lot more trees for you to weave through. My favorite part about this run is just the length of it. From top to bottom will probably take you 15 minutes, longer if you’re like me and take a break at some point on the run.
